[edit] About

Established in the Hanatatemachi neighborhood of Nakagyo-ku district since 1985, Auction House Kogire-Kai is a full-service auction house that provides the finest collection of antiques, including flower baskets, folding scrolls featuring landscapes, paintings, Japanese masks, ceramics, tea sets and utensils, pottery, Buddha statues, dolls, Japanese swords and many more. The auction house conducts over six cataloged auctions a year. The auction house was established by Jun'ichi Morikawa, who first opened a small antique shop called Ikko-do in November 1969 in the Higashiyama-ku district. Kogire-Kai initially served as a market for traders until February 1993, when it conducted its first auction. By now, Auction House Kogire-Kai has conducted more than 58 auctions.
