Dealers of European furniture with an emphasis on period and late neoclassical objects, Antiques Period specializes in wonderful historic bound books and affordable antique masters drawings. The gallery is situated on River Street in the historic Beacon Hill neighborhood, Boston. Willing to work with the customer on price ranges, their elaborate network of contacts in Europe, particularly France, enables them to locate work outside of their stock inventory. Established by native Parisian François Bardonnet, who has had a lifelong love of furniture, François studied art history in Paris, and has interned at Sotheby’s and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. After relocating to New York he started exploring his passion for European furniture in 2002, working with a top dealer. In 2004 he based his business in the chic Beacon Hill area of Boston, returning to Europe frequently to expand into what we see today at Antiques Period.
