Center44 Antiques and Modern Marketplace is located in Midtown Manhattan's Creative Arts Building, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. Seventy-five international dealers offer period antiques (antiquities thru the 19th Century), 20th-Century design (Deco, Modernism, Futurism, etc), and unique contemporary art and objects, all assembled in a block-long showroom of open room settings. Furnishings for every room in the house, lighting of every type, a wide array of decorative accessories and fine art are all on display. Many of the desirable 20th Century designers of note are represented in the rapidly changing stock. On-site furniture and art restoration services are also available, as well as access to craftsmen skilled in the art of bench-made reproduction.
Center44 is presented by Paul Plumadore and Jim Tindell. Their experience in the world of antiques includes 8 years participating in prestigious antiques shows and antiques centers throughout the Northeast under the name River Road Antiques, Ltd. They are also the former managers of Lafayette Antiques at the Warehouse in Harlem.
