[edit] About
Kobo-san Flea Market is a monthly flea market located at Toji Temple's yard, in the Kujo-cho neighborhood of Minami-ku district. Held on the 21st of each month, it gathers over 1,000 vendors to offer the widest array of antiques and collectibles, such as wood carvings, handmade pottery, Japanese bric-a-brac, vintage jewelry, kimonos, ceramic bowls, Buddha statues, glassware, dolls, folding scrolls and many more. The flea market is named after Ku-kai's posthumous name, Ko-bo-Daishi, the founder of Shingon sect of Buddhism, who passed away on the 21st of the third month in 835.
