Lost Eras shop, housed in a historic building on West Howard Street in Rogers Park, has supplied costumes and props for motion pictures and theater worldwide since 1969. On offer here are costumes, props and accessories from prehistoric to futuristic eras, including ancient civilizations costumes, Medieval, Renaissance and Colonial era attire. Charlotte Walters, owner of the shop in third generation, has been running the business for nearly 20 years. The original building was constructed more than 50 years ago by one of Charlotte’s ancestors; her mother opened here a store in 1969 to sell health food and beauty items. Today, besides theater props and costumes, the shop sells rare items and antiques.
