A large shopping district which also hosts a popular flea market, Monastiraki is located in Athens, Greece. You will find many shops here, including various specialty shops selling books, clothing, shoes and other items, as well as second-hand stores selling a wide assortment of used merchandise and artisan shops dealing in handcrafted objects. On Sundays, the Monastiraki Flea Market is offered, attracting crowds of shoppers in search of bargains. In addition to a huge assortment of collectibles, including paintings, glassware and silver, you will find many food vendors where you can grab a bite of some local food while searching through all the merchandise available for sale by the local vendors.
