Since it was established in 1975, Okura Oriental Art has a reputation of being a shop that features antiques for interior design. This small shop offers Japanese antiques and folk art, Imari porcelain, bamboo ware, hibachi, storage chests, interesting framed and unframed antique maps, ikebana baskets, a grand mix of candlesticks, unusual lanterns, old-fashioned furniture, lacquer items, colored textiles, as well as other fine authentic antiques. The owner, Mizue Sasa, and her husband, Yasuhiro Shimizu, are celebrating their 12th anniversary of owning Okura this year.
