Located about ten minutes from Notting Hill Gate, R & G McPherson Antiques features ancient and antique Chinese porcelain and pottery that date from the Neolithic period to the 18th century. The store at the Kensington Church Street was open in 2003, as a joint partnership between Robert McPherson and his wife Georgina. The shop is famous for its professionalism and reliability. Georgina is an experienced business organizer, while Robert, a passionate antiquarian, is a member of the vetting committees of several major antique fairs in London and the provinces. He also lectures in England and Scotland, as well as gives talks at the shop to students from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and the Sotheby's Institute of Art. Having been involved in the antiques business since the age of 16, Robert has extensive experience, which allows him to act as an adviser to the government, where he is in charge of valuing Chinese ceramics and explaining their significance and suitability for public collection.
