Established in 1940, Tazawa Antiques is located near the National Museum of Modern Art, in the Minamikinomoto-cho neighborhood of Kyoto's Higashiyama-ku district. It offers a wide variety of items, including Japanese antique metalworks, bamboo baskets, ceramic vases from the early 20th century, furniture, dolls, textiles and many more. The store's showroom is filled with over 200 Japanese antique furniture pieces dating from the late Edo period, as well as glassware, bronze statues and vases from the Meiji era.
